Nonlinear Vibration Analysis of Curved Piezoelectric-Layered Nanotube Resonator

Piezoelectric-based nano resonators are smart structures that can be used for mechanical sensors and actuators in miniature systems. In this study, the nonlinear vibration behavior of a curved piezoelectric-layered nanotube resonator was investigated. The structure comprises core slender layer piezoelectric material covering inner where harmonic voltage is applied to layer. Applying energy method Hamiltonian principle association with non-local theories, governing equations motion targeted system obtained. Then, problem solved using Galerkin multiple scales methods, responses under external excitation parametric load found. Various resonance conditions investigated including primary resonances, frequency obtained considering steady state motions. effects different parameters such as voltage, thickness, structural curvature on It shown cause vibration, point response. Considering two curvatures quadratic cubic curves, it also found waviness curve shape tune hardening softening behaviors at specific shapes, response acts similar linear system. This study toward design nano-resonators small-scale sensing actuation
